What Does a Marketing Partnership With Portyr Actually Include?
If you’re going to invest in a marketing partner, you should understand what you’re paying for without needing someone to translate the proposal.
“Strategy,” “content execution,” and “performance analysis” all sound useful, but they can mean very different things depending on who’s selling them. As a business owner, I want to know what someone will actually do, how it connects to my goals, and how we’ll decide whether it’s working. I imagine you do, too.
That’s why I want to explain what a Portyr Partnership looks like, including where we can help, what your team still owns, and how we approach the work.
Portyr provides marketing strategy and agreed execution for established home-industry businesses, including builders, remodelers, home service companies, showrooms, manufacturers, and suppliers. Partnerships start at $5,000 per month, with the scope built around your business, your existing resources, and the support you need.
What do we look at before creating a marketing plan?
Before we start discussing what to post or where to advertise, I want to understand what you’re trying to accomplish in the business.
You might want larger projects, stronger relationships with designers and builders, more consistent demand, or fewer inquiries from people who were never a good fit. Those goals require different decisions, and “we need to post more” doesn’t give us enough direction.
For example, a countertop showroom that wants more designer relationships needs to give designers a reason to trust it with their clients. That could mean showing how its team helps with selections, communicates about availability, and handles the details that affect a project.
A remodeler who keeps attracting inquiries below their minimum project budget has a different challenge. We may need to make the type of work they do, the investment involved, and the value of their process much clearer before someone books a consultation.
We use Portyr’s BINGO Growth System to examine how positioning, visibility, follow-up, sales, and measurement work together. It helps us identify where attention is needed, because creating more demand won’t accomplish much if good inquiries are already getting lost.
What does content strategy and execution actually include?
Content strategy gives the work a purpose. We determine who you need to reach, what those people need to understand, and how your content can help them feel more confident choosing your business.
Beautiful project photos absolutely have a place, especially in the home industry. But if all someone sees is the finished result, they may still have no idea what makes your company different from the three others they’re considering.
Your content can help answer the questions they haven’t asked you yet. How do you handle changes? What affects the price? What should they know before choosing a material? How do you keep a project moving when something doesn’t go according to plan?
Those answers are often where your experience becomes visible, and they’re usually much more interesting than another caption announcing that you’re committed to quality.
Execution turns that direction into the deliverables we’ve agreed on. Depending on your scope, that may include content concepts, scripts, captions, creative assets, editing, and publishing coordination. We define the formats, volume, responsibilities, and approval process upfront so you know what Portyr handles and what we need from you.
Will you need to film content for us?
That depends on what you already have and what we’re creating together.
Some businesses have years of useful project photos and videos sitting on someone’s phone. Others need a more consistent way to capture their work, whether that means walkthroughs, product demonstrations, team explanations, or footage from active projects.
We look at those resources before deciding what new production is necessary. If regular filming or onsite support is part of the plan, we define it in the scope rather than leave you wondering whether it’s included.
Your team’s involvement matters here, too. You know the details behind the work, the questions customers keep asking, and the moments that show how your business operates. We want a practical way to capture that knowledge without turning every workday into a production day.
What does Portyr’s advertising strategy include?
Advertising strategy addresses where to start, what to promote, who to reach, how much to test, and what should happen after someone clicks.
Within the agreed scope, Portyr can provide budget guidance, creative direction and assets, and performance analysis. We can also use insights from your organic content to inform advertising, while recognizing that a post getting attention doesn’t automatically mean it will generate qualified inquiries as an ad.
For a cabinet company promoting premium renovations, we’d need to consider whether the message communicates the level of work, whether the destination answers the buyer’s questions, and whether the inquiry process helps identify suitable projects.
If those pieces don’t connect, increasing the budget may simply create a more expensive version of the same problem.
Portyr provides the strategy, creative support, and review within your scope. Your internal team or designated advertising partner handles campaign setup and day-to-day management, with responsibilities established before work begins.
How do we measure whether the marketing is working?
I don’t want you paying for a report that looks impressive but leaves you asking the same question you had before you opened it: “What is this doing for my business?”
We review performance against your goals and the information available. That may include qualified inquiries, booked consultations or estimates, sales opportunities, conversion rates, acquisition costs, and revenue.
Views, clicks, and engagement can help us understand what people respond to, but we also need to look at what happens next. If inquiries are increasing while consultations remain flat, we should investigate the quality of those inquiries, response time, messaging, and follow-up.
We also consider your sales cycle. A homeowner choosing a custom builder may need considerably more time than someone booking a routine home service, so it wouldn’t make sense to evaluate both businesses with identical expectations.
When tracking is incomplete, we identify what’s missing and prioritize improvements. The purpose is to make better decisions about what to continue, change, stop, or test, without pretending every sale can be neatly attributed to one post. We don’t guarantee a specific number of leads or a revenue outcome.
How much does a Portyr Partnership cost?
Partnerships start at $5,000 per month, with final pricing based on the strategy and execution your business needs. Content formats, production requirements, filming, onsite involvement, and publishing responsibilities all affect the scope.
Larger projects, such as a website overhaul or brand video, are scoped separately. Your proposal explains the deliverables, responsibilities, and investment before we begin.
If you already have people handling execution and mainly need help with direction and performance decisions, Growth Strategy & Advisory may be a better fit. Advisory starts at $2,500 per month and includes five hours of Portyr’s time across analysis, preparation, meetings, and related advisory work.
Which level of support makes sense for your business?
A Partnership may be a good fit if you need both a clearer growth strategy and help putting it into practice. Advisory may make more sense if you have capable people doing the work but need stronger direction around priorities, messaging, and measurement.
I’m interested in understanding what will help your business move forward, including what’s already working and worth keeping. You may need better coordination, clearer messaging, or a more useful way to evaluate performance before you need another marketing channel.
Tell us where you want to grow, what you’ve tried, and where you’re getting stuck. We’ll help you identify the support that makes sense for your business.
